The Ultimate Intimacy Podcast

128. What Do You Do When Your Spouse Won't Talk About Sex...Or Other Tough Topics?

You hear us constantly talk about how almost everything can be resolved with communication, which is absolutely true. But what happens when you have a spouse that doesn’t want to communicate (or won't communicate) because they are afraid it will turn into a fight, or they don’t want to talk because it is uncomfortable?

We hear from MANY couples that they try to communicate with their spouse, but their spouse doesn’t want to. They tell us that “my spouse just won’t listen to me" or my spouse says they don't want to talk about it when I bring it up”

Here are the reasons why a spouse may not want to communicate:

  1. They don’t want it to end up in an argument.
  2. They get uncomfortable talking about difficult things, so they shy away from talking about them.
  3. They have a different communication style.

In this episode, Nick and Amy discuss what a spouse can do when the other one doesn't (and won't) talk to them. They share an experience from a listener that was giving up, and then did something that completely transformed their marriage almost overnight!

Nick and Amy will share what you can do to hopefully have a similar experience and change things in your marriage if you are experiencing this.
